Available options - which one do I need?

• Digital document (Certidão digital)
  
  Official digital version, quickly available. Particularly suitable for submission to Brazilian authorities and consulates. However, non-Brazilian authorities may not recognize these. When in doubt, choose the physical copy.
  
  
• Abbreviated copy (Breve relato) 
  
  Physical certificate in short form with the most important information. Usually the correct choice for use abroad.
  
  
• Full registry excerpt (Inteiro teor)
  
  

  A certificate in "inteiro teor" is required when an authority or court demands the full content of the Brazilian registry entry. This is particularly common in cases of:

  • Citizenship proceedings
  • Certificates of no impediment to marriage and name law proceedings
  • Adoption or descent matters

  A so-called Hague Apostille confirms the authenticity of a public document for its use abroad. It is recognized in almost all European and North American countries, including all EU states as well as the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

  Only in a few states or territories that are not members of the Hague Apostille Convention or for which the convention does not apply in relation to Brazil, may a different form of legalization be required. In cases of doubt, we will check this before the order is placed.

• Shipping costs depend on the type (standard/express) and destination country and are calculated separately.
